What is Parkour?
Parkour is the discipline of overcoming obstacles in one’s path using only the human body.
Visually, Parkour looks like moving through your environment like an obstacle course. The body is the only tool required, with its natural skills of bipedal motion, quadrupedal motion, jumping, climbing, and balance. One uses those skills to adapt to the surroundings and maneuver past any obstacle.
Proper training through appropriate steps of progression is necessary in order to build efficiency, confidence, and longevity in our movements.
Parkour is not a competition. It is not about being flashy, extreme, or rebellious. It is not about doing tricks. Parkour is about overcoming the obstacles in one’s path. Everyone’s path is their own. Parkour will help you move along your path.
