As Winter settles in, holiday breaks are abound, and the calendar year concludes, take some time to think about the question, “What did you learn this year?” We all have experienced this year in our own unique ways. I know I’ve had my ups and downs. My personal development has progressed in some ways and regressed in others. It has been a rather tough year for me. That notwithstanding, I have learned a lot because of my struggles.
Unsurprisingly, I see parallels with Parkour in all of it. The methods I use to overcome my personal obstacles are equivalent to the methods I use in my physical training: building through progression, working for longevity, being realistic about my capabilities. Of course, real results are seen only when I put in the work.
What did I learn this year? I learned that the more I understand about Parkour, the more easily I can apply it to the non-physical practice. What did you learn this year?
